NZQF ( NEW ZEALAND QUALIFICATIONS FRAME WORK ) categorizes NZ education into various Levels. The details and categorization are :

LEVEL 4, 5 & 6 : These qualifications are primarily the first year and second year of Bachelors degree, which are popularly known as Certificate programs and Diploma Programs
LEVEL 7 : Bachelor Degree or Graduate Certificate / Diploma qualification
LEVEL 8 : Post Graduate Diploma or Bachelors Degree Honors
LEVEL 9 : Masters Degree
LEVEL 10 + : Doctoral qualifications
